Street Sense wants to make sure that we are providing you with valuable information you can’t get anywhere else. In an effort to make sure the paper is meeting your needs and helping to put our vendors on a path toward financial self-sufficiency, please take a few minutes to participate in this short survey. We appreciate your feedback and your recommendations for the future. Thank you!
Thank you for this great product!
Thank you for your response! We appreciate it! Have a nice day!
I strongly support the concept of Street Sense. However, vendors do not have the right to disturb others as they try to sell papers. The vendor at Federal Center SW yells loud enough that those of us in the adjacent office buildings find that it disrupts our work. He might sell more papers with a quieter approach anyway–most commuters and tourists just walk by with confused or startled looks on their faces.
Robert, we’re sorry about the disruption and we’ll follow up. Sounds like a vendor who is really excited about selling the paper!
I really love Street Sense and always make a point of buying a copy any time I run across a vendor. Until yesterday, every vendor I had ever talked to was positive and friendly. Yesterday I was walking by Eastern Market and saw a vendor selling Street Sense so I immediately reached for my wallet. The vendor started talking to me about how he “hadn’t eaten anything all day” and couldn’t I support him? He seemed a bit resentful of the dollar I offered him for the paper and almost reluctant to give me the paper. He then asked my friend’s daughter who was walking with me if she would “support” him. This seems counter to the expectations of Street Sense so I wanted to let you know that it had happened. I will continue to buy your wonderful paper from other vendors!
Dryw, we’re sorry to hear this, and we’ll look into it! Thanks for your continued support.
