FEMA failed us, HUD failed us. My husband is on oxygen and we are a family of five who are homeless since February this year. We have an angel who has provided us shelter, but we are cramped. The problrm is the credit scores. You get sick, as in our case both parents, nobody wants to help. We were denied housing by both Habitate for Humanity and HUD. We lost our home caused by a major flood and I had the audacity to file for FEMA and to report our landlord for unhealthy house do to his neglegence to clean up the growing mold. Board of health stated we do not have Black Mold in NW Indiana. Explain to me why my husband almost died? Falling through the crack.
